How we choose what appears here
AKHBAARI is a curated aggregator, not a neutral wire service. This page states plainly how stories are selected, so you can judge what you are reading.
What we do
We poll the public RSS feeds of the news publishers listed on our sources page, roughly every twelve minutes. We show the headline, a short summary, the publisher's name, and a link to the original report. The full report always remains on the publisher's own site, and copyright in it rests with them.
Summaries are machine-generated
Summaries on this site are produced by a language model from the text the publisher supplies in its own feed. They are labelled AI summary where they appear. The model is instructed to use only facts present in the source text. Where a publisher supplies no description, we show the headline alone and generate nothing — we do not summarise from a headline, because that invites invention. Summaries can still be wrong. The original report is authoritative, and any correction should be sought through our grievance process.
We apply an editorial filter
AKHBAARI carries an editorial line. Automated rules withhold reports that are critical of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Union Government of India. This filtering is keyword-based and applied before publication; withheld reports are recorded internally with the rule that withheld them.
We state this openly for two reasons. A reader is entitled to know the frame through which a news product selects its content, and an editorial line that is declared can be assessed on its merits in a way that an undisclosed one cannot. If you want coverage without this filter, go directly to the publishers on our sources page — every one of them is linked.
What we do not do
- We do not alter, reverse or re-slant a publisher's headline.
- We do not fabricate reports, quotes, figures or attributions.
- We do not republish full article text.
- We do not present ourselves as the originator of any report we carry.
Ranking
Indian coverage is ranked above international coverage by design. Within that, stories are ordered by recency, by how many independent outlets are carrying them, and by publisher. No publisher pays for placement, and we carry no advertising that affects ranking.
