Code of Ethics

As a publisher of news and current affairs content, AKHBAARI observes the Code of Ethics set out in the Appendix to the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, which comprises:

• the Norms of Journalistic Conduct of the Press Council of India;
• the Programme Code under section 5 of the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995.

How it works

We poll the public feeds of the publishers on our sources page roughly every twelve minutes. Reports of the same story from different outlets are grouped together, so a story carried by eleven newspapers appears once, marked with the number of outlets covering it. Timestamps are shown in Indian Standard Time. Where a publisher supplies no timestamp, the item is marked time approx.

Every headline, image and report linked from this site remains the copyright of its publisher. We carry headlines, short summaries and thumbnails, and link out. We do not republish full text. Any publisher wanting their feed removed should contact the Grievance and we will act on it.

Privacy

We do not operate user accounts, do not ask for your email address, and do not collect personal data from readers.
